The creative muses behind Megayacht Media are Lisa Overing, copywriter and creative director, and Julianne Raines, art director. Megayacht Media's work commands attention with engaging headlines and appealing layouts that guide the eye - and the mind. 

Overing and Raines previously collaborated as the editorial and design team behind Professional Yacht Broker Magazine and Florida Dog Magazine. Their combined 45 years of experience in image advertising and branding know-how for the marine industry gives clients an edge in the marketplace. Megayacht Media’s client roster includes Boksa Marine Design, Lazzara Ombres Architects, GHI Shipyard, M/V Pacific Hope, Hill Robinson Yacht Management, Offshore Engineer Magazine, Hall of Fame Marina, E4Power, Nautic Alert, FHG Marine Engineering, and S/Y Legacy. 

Whether working solo or as part of a team, Lisa Overing has won over 100 awards for her creative work in advertising and journalism. Lisa supervised marquee accounts in the 1990s for Wisconsin-based Hearst Advertising and League Marketing, strategically managing millions of dollars in client advertising budgets. Lisa began her writing career as a marketing manager for First Interstate Bank from 1988 - 1990; she was communications director for Overing Yacht Designs from 2008 - 2015. She served on the board of directors of Boating Writers International (BWI) from 2007 - 2012. With real salt in her blood, Lisa is the daughter of a marine engineer who rode down three Liberty ships; she is also the granddaughter of the Lt. Commander of USS Millicoma and the granddaughter of a bosun who was lost.

Inspired from her daily view of the IntraCoastal Waterway in Aventura, Florida near Fort Lauderdale, Lisa’s work has been published in about 50 of leading marine publications in nine languages. She has forged strong relationships with writers and editors throughout the industry. In 2018, Lisa began writing for New Wave Media, which features her byline regularly in Yachting Journal, Maritime Reporter and Marine News. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Lisa graduated from University of New Orleans (UNO) and is an avid New Orleans Saints fan.

Julianne Raines is art director and graphic designer for Megayacht Media, helping clients achieve a unique look and compelling visual identity for their brand through type, layout and design. Raines worked for several design firms and was previously graphic designer for Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF), creating the visual personality of numerous marine industry events and megayacht brands.

Raines resides in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Julie’s impeccable sense of balance, style and detail is exhibited in everything artistic. She designs exquisite wedding cakes, honing her sense of proportion at a young age in her family’s bakery business. A native of Boca Raton, Florida, Julie graduated from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and is a Star Wars aficionado.
